FIDESOL joins RENIC

The Fundación I+D del Software Libre (FIDESOL) joined RENIC last July as an innovation and technology centre of reference in Andalucia. With this integration to the Network it aims to strengthen its research and development work in cybersecurity, as one of the most necessary and emerging technologies in our society.

Cybersecurity research is a priority for FIDESOL, especially given its membership of the ÉGIDA Network, the first Cervera network of the DCTI for excellence in security and privacy technologies. With this incorporation to RENIC these tasks can be reinforced with new research alliances, as well as the possibility of being able to carry out a more effective knowledge transfer, thanks to the exchange of ideas and academic work in which all the partners work. With this relationship, new projects will come to results that will advance the necessary awareness of the importance of cybersecurity for people, companies and institutions.
