RENIC moderator in a working group of the PESI platform

On the 30th of May, PESI organized Cybersecurity working group, with the main objective of shedding light on the importance of betting on protection against cyber-attacks in the industrial sectors, providing the vision of the Platforms PESI and PLANETIC, private companies and public administrations.

The meeting began with the presentations of Javier Larrañeta, General Secretary of PESI and Clara Pezuela, President of PLANETIC. Both agreed that Cybersecurity is a key factor on various initiatives implemented from both platforms

The conference included presentations from Maite Boyero of CDTI, Juan Diez of INCIBE and Alberto Santos of CNPIC. Providing the vision of cybersecurity initiatives by Public Institutions.

Then, Tomas Castro, president of AEI CIBERSECURIDAD,moderated a panel focused on the Solutions and Private Initiatives. Castro presented the AEI promotion of the Cybersecurity Innovation Hubs. Pedro Soria, from ATOS, showed the work of his company in R & D projects. Manuel Ortega, from CALS and Miguel García-Menéndez de iTTi also participated on the panel.

Finally, the last table of the meeting was moderated by Arturo Ribagorda, from RENIC. This table focused on the Technological Challenges and Research and Innovation in Industrial Cybersecurity. Pedro Peris, UC3M professor, focused on the problems of the IoT and Concepción Cortés, from Tecnalia presented the work on research in Cybersecurity and Safety.

The meeting ended with the official closing of Mr. Antonio Alcolea, Deputy General Director of Development of the Information Society from SESIAD.
